About Stephanie
Stephanie Jarvis is a YouTuber and the restorer of the 20+ bedroom 16th Century Chateau de La Lande. It's situated in the Limousin region, a beautiful rural area slap bang in the middle of France.
She bought the chateau with her university friend Nic in 2005, buying the huge property for the price of two small London flats. The chateau is now also jointly owned with her friend Michael as well.
For the first 10 years or so of the restoration things were pretty quiet at La Lande. Restoration could only progress slowly as it is a vastly expensive process and a true labour of love.
But then in 2017 everything changed.
Stephanie was approached to take part in the 'Escape to the Chateau DIY' show on British TV. And then, soon after that in September 2018 Stephanie took her first step onto YouTube recording the first edition of 'The Chateau Diaries' vlog.
Things were pretty small-scale at first but every week Stephanie would diligently post her vlogs, sharing the magic of the chateau and the people who stayed there.
But then during the Covid Lockdowns things changed once more. Stephanie’s views went sky high on YouTube. Hundreds of thousands of people tuned in to see the adventures of the La Lande family - and her life and that of the chateau was transformed forever.
As well as a love of all things Chateau, Stephanie has a thirst for adventure and travel. In 2021 she recorded the first travel vlog with one of her best friends from University, Ollie. Since then they have recorded adventures in some amazing locations. These are due to be released soon as together they launch their new travel channel - a celebration of both travel and friendship.
